81/365 Spring!
I just adore the beautiful blooming trees as I am driving around. This photo was taken while I was waiting at a red light. I think I am going to run on this trail on Friday.... It is a beautiful trail.

I went out today to get a picture of my tulips. This Ladybug started crawling on me and then flew onto a nearby clover. I think it wanted to be immortalized
Our Cherry Tree is in full bloom and that means we have a lot of drunk bees flying around. they love to pollinate the flowers.
One of the things I love most about spring and summer in Virginia are all the little wildflowers grow, well wildly. They make for a gorgeous array of color as you can see in this photo. Right now the purple is the color of the flowers growing in the yard.
What a gorgeous day we are having today! 80's, bright puffy clouds in the sky, and my yard is over run with Clovers. I couldn't let today go by without posting a picture of it.
Tonight I have a picture of an empty plate for my son. He is partaking in a hunger fast with the youth group at church. He is raising awareness of the people in our world who are hungry. He stopped eating at 12:00 noon today and will not eat anything until 6:00 tomorrow night. During this time he will be playing volley ball tonight, sleeping at the church, and tomorrow passing out food to the poor in our local area. I am very proud of him for doing this. I also found out some cousins of his are also doing this tonight in another state. Please keep all these youth in your thoughts and prayers tonight.
When I was little I learned a song in school that went like this:“I looked out the window and what did I see? Popcorn popping on the apricot tree. Spring has brought me such a nice surprise. Popcorn popping right before my eyes. I can take an armful and make a treat. A popcorn ball that would smell so sweet. It wasn’t really so, but it seemed to be, popcorn popping on the apricot tree.”
I was reminded of this song when I saw my cherry tree today. A few blooms opened and it was such a great gift today.
My youngest daughter is a sophmore in high school and has been waiting for that big rite of passage of getting her class ring. Today it finally came in the mail and she has been beside herself with joy at its beauty. I think it is beautiful and fits her perfectly.
Today I wanted to capture the feel of going on a run. I run every day when I get home from work with my son and our dog. I feel so free as I run. There are a lot of things in my life and in my past that I am running from and the more I run the further they get behind me.
